1 421-4600 Recovery DVD for Windows 7 Home Premium OS, 64bit, English

that DVD will allow you to install a fresh copy of Windows 7 onto your laptop. It will rid the laptop of everything that came with it, however you can reinstall drivers and software from the Dell website if you so wish. See here for a bit of info regarding that,

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/dell-xps-studio-xps/573253-fresh-win-7-install.html

To be honest, I found my XPS to be pretty much bloatware free. I wasn't interested in Mcafee AV, nor the MS Office starter. Apart from that there really isn't much else to the factory state. Of course you could manually deactivate a few unnecessary things that startup with the laptop to streamline it a bit :D

If you ever need to go back to the factory state, then you can use your recovery partition. I'd also suggest burning some recovery DVDs as soon as you get the laptop and put them somewhere safe

i agree, really if you take off what you dont want in the beginning you should be ok....there are tutorials around thatll show you how to turn off programs during startup that you dont need.......then they will start as you choose.
