    hi
i just noticed my display refresh rate is 63hz
earlier it was 60, noway in not able to change it, its been increased to 63 hz, how d it happen,

currently im running vista sp1 ultimate, have screen wxga 1280x800
nvidia 175.97 not the recent one,

earlier it was 60hz as a default, i dint do anything, just went to display to check what monitor it was, it showed 63hz, n monitor SEC=3358, seems like samsung.

wonder how the display changed to 63 hz?

does anyone know how it happened?

Is this the one reported in the nVidia CP? *just wondering if something is reporting wrong values* because AFAIK, these monitors support a max of 60 Hz (I may be wrong, but this is what I have read around here)

yea its reported on both, settings in windows display settings, n in nvidia CP

earlier it was showing 60hz i did reinstalled vista installed everything, what the prob is this, i did see many time it showed 60hz, no wonder i did have a look now its 63hz,

why d a driver read the wrong values.. i was using the same driver earlier, it was working well, but just now noticed it,

its shows 63hz both in dispaly setings n also in nvidia CP?

does it causes a prob? what exactly it regards to?
i guess these lcd monitors never go above 60hz refresh rate. i wonder how it changed as if?

i did installed vista media center pack, did that changed the refresh rate?

any help regarding this d be apperciated.

    thx

Well in any case, it doesn't 'cause a prob'... and it doesn't harm your system. higher refresh rates are actually desired by some people for better viewing experience... (though I am happy with 60)

Still I don't know why you are seeing that value. Sorry, no idea.
