I just got my m1530 last week, got my first blu-ray from Netflix, and the movie played beautifully, but some of the extras were hop, skipping, and jumping, and were just unviewable. I chalked it up to a very deep visible scratch, and ordered a replacement blu-ray.
I got the replacement disk, and when I put it in, the computer started-up where I was on the disk I returned (creepy), and it had the EXACT SAME skips in the same spots. It was almost as though the information from the disk I had at first was stored somewhere on my computer.
I also had a problem with the first DVD I tried to play - it said the player was coded for the wrong region, which I was able to change (although you can only change it 5 times, apparently), but it just seemed strange.
I don't know much about blu-ray AT ALL, so I'm hoping someone on here does, and can help me figure out if this is a software problem, a hardware problem, a PEBKAC... yes, I have that fabulous XPS support, but if I can figure this out without consulting them, I'd prefer it.

i think it might be a hardware problem since it messed up at the same place. or netflix sent back the same disc
optical drive (blu-ray) skipping
