Not knowing your purpose for the laptop we can't say if it's a "good" configuration... BUT, you did get the most important upgrade with the B+RGLED display.

1920x1080 display - good. The 1366x768 display is bad. You saved yourself there ;)
GT 540M - only 12% better than the GT 525M, but something you can't upgrade in the future.
Backlit keyboard - arguably the second most useful upgrade, aside from the screen

Overall it doesn't look like a bad config. What are your main usage requirements?

If love play game. asus new model N55SF with Nvidia G555M 2G. 3d 06 mark about 10000. G540 just 8000.

dell xps 15 model may old(about 6 month). now dell just alienware used G555M or highend card.

for test asus N55SF play crisis 2 about 72-82 C. but Xps 15 got 90-95C.

Sure you can get it before EDD. The EDD is just a worst-case estimate by Dell, they often beat it. They plan on 7 days to ship it to you, at least in the states. It never takes 7 days in the US with all the depots they have all over the country. I realize that's no help if you aren't in US...but there is still plenty of chance to beat EDD.
