    possible to change XPS M1330 Nividia motherboard to Intel?

    Hi
    My XPS M1330 is dead - the Nvidia graphic chip is dead. It is almost 3 years old and Dell won't help.

    Therefore, I have found an Intel motherboard at ebay. But before I purchase it I would like to know if it is possibel to use this MB in my olf M1330?
    Do I need other spareparts as well?
    I was thinking about the cooling devise, can my old heat sink from a Nvidia M1330 be used on the Intel motherboard?

    Been there done that. You need to change the heatsink (or remove one of the screws - iirc there's one at the very end of the heatpipe that doesn't have a hole in the Intel board), but I do believe that's about it. Everything else fits together nicely.

    hi, please let us know about your experience with Intel mother board with M1330. Also which intel board you have used. I have exactly same problem though i havent used my laptop much.

    If i am not mistaken. all m1330 use the intel motherboard with nvidia GPU. As do the m1530.
