my xps 15 has the tv tuner but i found a sim card port in the battery slot and the two extra antenna cables (white stripe gray, black stripe gray) so i if i swap the tv tuner card with a wwan card then i could get that feature?

Would be interesting to try! It seems like you have the antennae, which is good. Just wondering what the SIM card is read by - it's not by the wwan card I guess, as that's not in the back of fhe battery compartment when it's installed.

Yep, my WWAN card is connected to grey+white (main) and grey+black (aux). I have a not connected solid grey. So looks like i'm missing the black for a TV card, unless you only have 1 on the WLAN card?

Maybe there is something of wrong, your Wi-fi card is connected only with white cable?

Mine? Or Blingers'? Mine is connected with 2. Cant see the connectors for 2 on Blingers' picture but there are 2 leads heading that way. The black one is under the insulating boot on the white one, maybe?

I was referring to the BLingers' image.
I think that 6230 Wi-Fi card must be connected to two cable.

As long as you have the antennas, it should work. There shouldn't be anything with the computer to stop it from working. I've even used a SD card reader in the wwan slot.

Do you think that mine have a extra cable and antena? I have only wireless 1000 card, no tuner and no WWAN card

i think you can use the aux antenna cable from the wifi card as the wwan antenna. or buy an antenna on ebay and hide it in the base of the xps
