Quick question, the esata port in l502x is just esata or power esata?

I want to connect a 3.5 sata HDD in there, but I don't know if I need power from another source or i'm done with a power esata cord.

If my syntax or grammar are wrong, my deepest apologies.

It's eSATAp (powered, yes) but you won't be able to use 3.5" drives (they require +12v) without aditional power cable as the eSATAp only supplies +5v (optical and 2.5" drives work OK though as they only require +5v).

That's the point. eSATAp provide also 12v. There are 2 version of this connector, one provide just 5v but the other one provide both voltages automagically.
It seems that l502x has the first kind only. I'll go for a caddy then.
    Thanks
