hi guys, I got a problem, I formatted my M1330 (vista home system), and installed a XP pro, under xp system, when I tried to enroll my fingerprints to the fingerprint reader, it said, the fingerprints have already been enrolled, I can not enroll them again, I did enrolled my fingerprints under the initial vista system, and selected the option to store it in fingerprint reader device memory, (not in the hard drive), just want to ask anybody knows how to delete the enrolled fingerprints, empty the fingerprint reader memory, (notice, there is no way for me to get back to the vista to delete them from that vista account I initially enrolled them)

Aw... poor thing. Im afraid that area of the memory is no longer accessible after reformatting because of the sectors were allocated to your fingerprint reader that are assigned. If you reformat and reinstall vista without clearing it first, the cache will be there, but the actual pointer is lost, which is why you cant update.

Have you tried uninstalling your fingerprint reader along with its drivers and reinstalling it?

I have have the exact same problem, the only way i found of fixing it was to reinstall the OS that was previously on the machine... I am running XP now, but basilcy to resolve the issue install Vista also you will need to make sure the machine name is the same as it was previously(if you use a different one it doesnt seem to show up your enrolled finger prints), then when you install the finger print software you will see your prints are already listed, you just need to delete them.. Only problem with this is that you end up with either a format or a second OS :S
