i have a m8600 on my xps 1530 and have recently reinstalled windows from vista home to vista ultimate. for some reason, i cant download drivers from laptopvideo2go or any other sites and install it. it says the hardware was not found or something with its not 32 bit(my windows is 32bit). but it would work on windows update. anyone know how to fix this? thanks!

Did you make sure the modded .inf file was inside the extracted folder?

Also check if the driver supports the card...

just tried to add the modded inf (on 177.89) in the folder and installed, but still getting the problem about the 32 bit. gonna try a older one. forgot which one i had installed before the reinstall of windows. i think it was liek 164. something. im gonna give it a try now.

edit: looks like the 174.31 worked. which driver version would you guys recommend?

    thanks for the responses btw.

Why don't you take the new driver released by Dell for XPS M1530? The 175.97?? Of course this was already there for M1330 I guess.. but now its officially available for the M1530, from the Dell Drivers n Downloads Page. Try it out... for me its been working fine, temp' have been kinda better too. Check it out.
