Did dell come out with the ac adapter replacement yet?The ones that came with my laptop is horrible, i lose power to the laptop, even if i move the laptop just a little bit.

there's a replacement for our Lx02x series? Didn't know that.... What happened to the good old days when they made those hexagonal adapters like for the dell XPS m1330 and 1530? Those were great plugs and still works and sits tight even until today for me.

sorry, i wasnt clear.I was hoping dell or a 3rd party would come out with a replacement. I cant believe the ac adaptor for the l502x is acceptable. dell's getting worst and worst the last few years. With my brother's badly built studio xps, this will be the last dell i will buy.i missed my old m1530,when i brought the new xps, i thought i would be getting sometime similar to the 1530, except its now bigger, louder, and way hotter. :(
My brother's zenbook , now thats what a laptop should be like.

You also have to consider spec for spec, the zenbook just doesn't compare ;)

I do love my XPS so far, but it is what it is, not all of them can be perfect (sadly).

I dont really game anymore, so a ultrabook would my dream laptop. After undervolting the gpu, repasting, and taking out the dust filter, my notebook is 20 degree cooler, but still way too hot to even put on my lap without a cooler.

Are you sure? My XPS L702x runs cool as hell, GPU's at 50 on normal use and the bottom of the laptop is as cool as ice, it's the top of the laptop that gets hot on me.

normal use i should be fine, but i game once in a while. its not as bad as it used to be, gpu was hitting the 90 before the repaste etc, now its idle around 50-55 also.Im guessing the l702 has better cooling, bigger vents?

Don't think it's the adaptor that's the problem but the jack in the laptop itself, someone posted a DIY fix a while back that seemed to work
