you should get 4.8 or 4.9 in WEI, as you dont say what you get I cant tell you if it too low or high.

lol darko, okay, got to your computer - system properties - click on Windows Experience Index - Update my score, it should do some things then it will show your rating, anyways, all xps m1530 have the same RAM speed, so dont worry :D

My score is 4.8 in WEI. I see that you have a T5550 which is running on 667 MHz FSB. You most likely wont see a increase in your RAM score unless you move to the 800MHz FSB family of processors...

pretty sure CPU doesnt matter, isnt the m1530 mobo chipset only capable of 333mhz/667 (doubled via ddr2)

Is your Ram score too low for what? I have 3GB in my 1530 and the machine performs fantastically. My CPU is slightly better but you would not see any noticeable improvement between 667MHz and 800MHz even if your 1530 utilized 800MHz Ram. If you want to boost performance go Vista 64 bit and install 4GB Ram. You can also upgrade your CPU if you can find a good deal on something worth the trouble.

hmmm... I thought Dell BIOS always uses the specified RAM speed or the max chipset supported (667MHz) and by adjusting the DRAM:FSB ratio. I just assumed that if FSB increases with DRAM frequency remaining the same, more memory cycles could be completed in the same time frame and hence automatically increasing the WEI score for RAM performance....
