    laptop runs very cool...no weird sounds.

    and i honestly feel ZERO need to do a clean install...i notice almost zero bloatware on my laptop.

    btw..they gave me a free media remote too. :)

    hey congrats, welcome to the xps family :D

    yeah these lappys are really fast, no real need to reinstall windows when its brand new , just remove some bloatware, although i am going to reinstall windows for the 64 bit version.

    ah good good me too, mine arrived a week ago, and to answer maxwells question i am pretty sure the remote comes with it standard, although apparently all of the other accessories i was told that also came standard dont anymore so who knows at this point. All i got was the one remote.

    yes congrats on your new laptop mines still brand new and makes me smile everytime i see it.

    Its a great performer too and runs everything i want, not hot acccording to my temp proggy either. I played wow in bed for an hour and half and it only go to 70 degrees max.

    Congrats there and enjoy your XPS as we all have been enjoying ours. Just to echo what others are saying...yes the media remote is supposed to come standard. However, based on youtube vids of early bird buyers...people who purchased it in the first few months of release got two media remotes so in case one broke, they had a spare. However, we current XPS owners don't have the luxury anymore of having two so be sure to take care of yours...
