    resoldering power jack on XPS 1647

    My power jack (AC Adapter Connector) is extremely loose. My computer can run on power but the battery won't charge.

    What exactly is causing it to be loose? Looking at the picture and disassembly guide, it looks like a screw is holding it in place. Could a lose screw explain why my battery isn't getting charged?

    What would be a fair process to have this issue resolved by a technician?
