-
-
The ExpressCard is not for graphics expansion, you will not be able to SLI with that.
-
ah i see thanks
-
The M1730 is capable of dual graphics cards. Though this statement is correct, he would be able to buy another Dell 8700M GT and SLI them. No idea why you'd do that though, a single 8800M GTX would be better all around anyway.
-
but surely two is better than 1 lol
-
Yes, 2 8700M GTs are better than one. But one 8800M GTX is better than two 8700M GTs. Considering the cost and power consumption of 8700M GTs, it seems silly to me to opt for SLI 8700's over a single 8800.
-
cool, are the xps m 1730's graphics cards upgradeable if so whats the best that can be put in?
-
LOL'D
Nice laptop what's the price on this bad boy? -
SLI 8800GTX's
Will run you from 500-800 dollars. -
he would not be able to add another 8700, the sli cards come as a single unit
no single 8800 gtx is available for the 1730, just sli 8800 gtx -
i would say 700ish is about right
-
the 8800 gtx sli gpu is the best so far, but you need some expertise and be pretty mechanically inclined to tackle replace the cards, and it will void your gpu warranty if you do it yourself
-
there is a guy in the classifieds selling an 8800 gtx sli unit, just fyi
-
yeah, smoke skull is a good guy, trustworthy seller
say i see an xps m1730 for sale...
