Anyone know of a good screen protector/scratch protector for the 1340? Not the case, but for the screen itself? It would be awesome if someone made an antiglare screen shield.... what about those clear bumper/riser things that keep the screen from being scratched while it is closed by the keyboard

I've seen them on the forums before.......anyone have a link?

I called dell about some dead pixels/led's in the led backlight, and they are sending a tech out to replace my screen...

do you guys think they will replace the whole upper display section of the laptop? I hope they do, but I've got a feeling they will just try and replace the lcd panel alone :( The clear plastic that sits over the top of lcd panel itself, has got scratched in the past few months from the keys of my 1340 when the screen is closed :(

I feel this isn't my fault, and should be covered under warrenty....

    I'll keep you guys posted

So this SGP sells awesome skins for the xps 1340, and I noticed that they have an anti-glare option for the XPS m1330, which from what I understand has the same screen size. Here is the link

InvisibleShield is a great company and I use it for all the phones I've ever had.

It has a body cover, but no screen: but, if enough people request one, they can make one. And, if you're lucky enough to be the first one to request and enough people do, the first person (unfortunately) has to send in the device for measurements, but they get a free Shield. :)

    Ended up going with this

    http://www.buyviewguard.com/en-us/1...dth-11.28"-x-Height-7.05"-16:10-Aspect-Ratio)

We'll see how well it works...

not specifically for the 1340, but, its 16:10 ratio, and 13.3, so, hopefully it will looks alright...

Now just to find some lcd "bumper" that hold the lcd up off the keyboard a bit more when its closed....

Really pathetic that the 1340's screen rubs the keyboard when its closed from the factory....scratches everywhere because of that...

Yeah, that would do it...I think I'm going to get one of those, and, get these:

the problem is, I let other people use my laptop as well, and other people tend to have to slam the screen shut when they get done using it - and they certainly wouldn't take them time to put that cloth in place........I'll never understand that
