    Hi everyone,

Dells giving me a laptop replacement, I originally had a 1080p screen but I'm really tempted to downgrade to a 900p screen to get more fps(gaming) on native resolution. Would anyone ever consider doing that?

no, if I wanted to get better FPS I would lower the resolution in the game. I love my 1080p screen for everyday use and movies. Some games can even be played in 1080.

    In the XPS 16, I'd reccomend a 1080 screen, as the 900p isn't a 16".

I'm running, Crysis Warhead at 1080 with Gamer Settings, Mass Effect 1/2 with Max settings, L4D2 Max settings. and no issues. (Obviously running on battery power using A06 or A03/Throttlestop)

But I might consider switching away from the RGBLED, for some reason out of the 3 laptops screens i've seen through replacement of the screen and switch from 1640-1645 my Screen is just pushing way to much blue. And i can't get a proper color calibration :(

Careful. The WLED 1080p screen is still 15.6". Only the RGBLED 1080p screen is 16".

To me it's a bad idea to use anything other than the screen's native resolution, so yeah, if you're not planning on running it at that I'd say downgrade.
