Just brought a Studio XPS 16. In playing games the mouse either has a mouse lag or is slow when using battery power. Works fine when the power adapter is attached. Tried different settings in the power. This happens for both wireless through USB or wired. Any help?

You mean your frame rates are noticeably lower? That's probably because your graphics card is running in power saving mode when unplugged. You can change this if you want, but your battery life is going to get shot to hell.

Framerate is fine. Just the mouse doesn't move right. IT happens at any resolution setting.

Hmm. Try the usual, I suppose...update graphics drivers.

Is this on the factory installation of Windows, or did you reformat and install Vista from scratch?

Does it happen if you just use the built in trackpad?

Could be that it's allowing your usb mouse to go into power savings mode, this is something that can be changed via power options or device manager in the control panel.
