    good evening fellow internet users

i spilled milk (not very much) into the keyboard of my xps 1530 and now the "e" wont work anymore. So, i
removed the e and i now find myself looking at a plastic cylinder that bends. The cylinder has a little
dried milk inside of it, and if i press something pointy into the cylinder the key works.

ergo: how to get the milk out of the sylinder, since i presume this will make it work again.

you will probably have to take out the cylinder and clean it manually then re-glue it. check out some youtube guides on replacing keys on a keyboard.

thanks, but, since its one key i rather fix it than buy a new keyboard. What if i tried cleaning inside the cylinder without removing it?
And any tips on where on you tube?

I wouldnt try cleaning it without taking off the membrane. You dont want to accidentally screw the connection.
Take a look at this guide http://www.irithm.com/Dell.key.replacement.html

Can I ask how you got the key off to begin with? My H is acting funny and I don't want to break it.
