    Hello,
First of all, I have been a Dell customer since the 1990's and have had only good things to say about Dell. Recently, I bought a refurbished Dell studio XPS 1645. I received it in December and after a few weeks I had software problems. After numerous calls to IT, last week Dell sent out a new mother-board and hard-drive. A Dell tech. had installed both the new mother-board and hard-drive and I was told to let the new hard drive install itself. Everything was fine, but my Media Center and Media Player would not work property. The Media Center would not allow me to download the internet TV. I checked the internet connection which was working fine. When I did a scan of my system the results were: Media Player not install correctly and that the Media Player files were corrupted. I have call the IT many times, over 10 times, and was told it was a software problem and I would have pay $129.00 dollars to have it fix. I cannot see why I have to pay for something that wasn't my fault. I'm sorry if this post is too long, and I am venting on this post, but I frustrated with this issue.

Software issues are never covered under any warranty.

I would suggest is to back up your data and reimage your Studio. Access your recovery partition via F8 and Repair my Computer.

Have you tried with an OEM vanilla disc? Sometimes your recovery partition image is borked (not uncommon).
