So my ram has always displayed 4 gigs of ram installed including in bios and in system information. although when i go here
    start>run>msconfig>boot tab>advanced options>

max processors are 2 and up to about a week ago is displayed max ram=4096
well now its only shows 3072, which is only 3 gigs. So my question is why is this happening now? i have changed ram out so i doubt all my ddr3 sticks are ALL bad. has anyone else had this issue or know a way to fix it?

    Studio xps 1640
    pm45 chipset
