    stupid 270.51 driver

    I installed it and it started making my fan go on/off all the time and the GPU speed stays at max. so, i uninstalled it and put back dell's 267.21.
    Now, fan still goes on/off and GPU stays at max as well.

    i think i figured it out. Removing nvidia system tools (system monitor) fixed the issue. I had the system tools installed before and they were not causing this problem. Only after 270.51 did the issue start.

    Try installing the system tools again on top of it. I had some problems as well (partly because I inadvertently had an old version of System Tools) but my overclocked but idle card is sitting at minimum clock speeds (50/135).

    i have the same problem with my GTX 485m it stays @ 575mhz!!!
