    i have the RGBLED screen and i was wondering how do change the settings on how bright the screen should be on different settings like power saver and high performance or when its running on battery or not.

    i know there is an option for it because i have it on my other laptop but i cant seem to find it on this one

    it's in the BIOS, I woulld really like to see an update which lets us access it through wondows though, for example in a quickset revision

    There isn't a backlight option in windows yet, that's why we need an update, if Ubuntu can manage it then I'm appalled that dell hasn't come up with a solution

    my other laptop is also a studio xps 16 with the same screen and it has that option. i just got it tho, the new one has that option but the one i got in july doesnt

    You need BIOS version A10 and it will appear in Windows Power Management.

    Dell haven't released the stand alone A10 upgrade yet though, it's only available on new laptops.

    i think it's not really possible to extract it directly from the BIOS itself, if u'd have it also on the disc u got from dell then u could upload it

    nice one! i wonder if the flash utility does a backup ?
