I been realizing that the cpu and gpu temps have been increased compared to the first time i bought this thing, so i was wondering if its advisable to open some sort of a lid or something to put dust off directly on the heatsinks of the cpu and gpu. do you guys recommend a thorough cleaning once in a while?

usually i just spray dustoff into the vents from the outside, but it doesnt really seem like its effective.

i couldnt find any posts about taking this thing apart or opening the right "hatches" to get to the cpu/gpu. does anyone know a link they can direct me to? thanks.

I wouldn't reccomend it, and that is probably why there is no posts on this site about taking it apart. You could seriously mess up something...

I would avoid spraying anything from the outside into your notebook. By doing that, you are only moving the dust from the fan/grill further inside your notebook. The purpose of using compressed air is to clean and eliminate dust/dirt particles from your notebook.

Check link below for directions to access your fan and cooling unit
