i usually leave my laptop on my desk, which is about 6 in. away from the window. lately, gpu temp has hit a low of 32 c, core temps of 16 c. i need to know if this is a dangerously low temperature to operate the computer. if i should move the desk or laptop or what. thanks

I just did
, temperatures slowly increasing back. gpu now at 47 c. cores at 32c
-
low temp wont hurt it,but so better keep it open

has anybody thought condensation inside the laptop / exhaust area would be an issue? ive been thinking about it lately.

Frankly not, just pop in Crysis or something like that, and your temps will get UP... xD
Oh, and close the window, i might just steal your pc...
>_> do it for my conscience as well... <_< -
LOL i have motion sensor alarms on the windows and a motion sensor lock as well, + my desk is right next to my bed, right next to my bed is..well...a fairly heavy metal baseball bat. :]

I would worry about the hard drive temps. The thing I would think that would be affected much by low temps would be the hard drive. I think I remember reading that operating it below a certain temperature is much worse than at over 60c, and the low temp was not that low either 10c or something, maybe 20c

GPU at 47? Wow... when mine bottoms out at 59 I jump for joy.

must be the AC on your room, if you are like me then you like to sleep cold
and yes in that case the inner parts of your computer will get cooler, but condensation is no issue if you dont live in humid enviroment, on the contrary you should be pushing your laptop to its limits if temps are so low, enjoy the cold !

oh sweet! haha ok. well its not A/C. at night the temps drop to 49, and im just worried about booting it up one morning and having my temps at 0 c lol...
-
either his temps are configured for F or it is quite cool in his place.

nope! i keep my laptop next to the window and i leave it cracked open a few inches when i use the laptop. keeps the temperatures nice and chilly.

Low temps won`t hurt.
You are more than fine.
As long as all the temps are above 5-10C(41-50F) you`re good.
High temps are what you should be concerned about...
Anything above 80C that is.
temperatures (again)
