    how is the finish on it?? i know its all glossy but how easy does it scratch and get scuffed up. would normal use of it in a nice plush bag cause a lot of small fine scratches on it? and how is the keyboard. i het when black matte finished keyboards get glossy spots in the middle of the keys after using them for a while..

    im looking at a used one ad wondering what i can maybe expect and how careful i need to be with the finish

    It shows alot of fingerprints on it but they come off quite easy, so far I don't have any scratches on it the finish seems quite durable

    exactly why im looking. def not at all a fan of the styling but they are reasonable now from the outlet..

    Yeah, I am not a fan of the lid but with the new machines starting at $1999 with 8700 SLI 4 GB of RAM and a T8300 it is not a bad price at all.

    It was a replacement for my XPS M1710 notebook, the 1st one I got I had endless problems and it took 3 weeks before they decided that they would replace it, I got the new one yesterday, did a fresh install and have been testing it so far it is working really good. It is heavy so I wouldn't want to be carry it around alot.

    hmm okay so you havent tested the finish much with carrying it around. i was considering a used one from someone and they say its flawless but im wayyyyyyyyyyy ocd with my notebooks so im afraid ill get it and be dissapointed..

    No I haven't carried it around alot but if I did I would make sure the case was very well padded I am very anal about keeping my notebooks in excellent condition. Can you see the notebook before you buy it?

    no only in pics. and the finish is so glossy its really hard to tell what it smudges and what is not know what i mean?? it has full complete care on it so i guess if its rough i can always end up getting another one (you know something like it doesnt turn on etc) usually they will send out another refurbished system in its place right??
