Hey guys I accidentally spilled some isopropyl alcohol on the trackpad. Everything works except the clicking doesnt register. It registers about 10% of the time. I opened it up, tried drying it wiping it down, reconnected everything and still doesnt work. anyone know how to fix it or if i can buy parts to fix it? do you guys also think i will need to replace the whole trackpad or just the mouse buttons?

If it matters I have the xps 14. Not the newest one but the one before that.

Is this 99 percent Isopropryl alchohol? If so, it should not do anything to your hardware. It should evaporate rather quickly. If for some reason it is a damaged trackpad, you'll need to replace the whole trackpad including buttons since it has only one cable. Most likely you'll find yourself having to buy the whole palm rest because the majority of laptop trackpads are integratded into the palm rest.
