    Hey guys,

So i just got the studio xps 1645, a refurbished replacement for my old xps m1530.

However, I been having some problems (even with 130W adapter + a09 bios).

    1) the base of my laptop is uneven, quite noticeable when i extend my screen back about >90 degrees.
    2) my 9 cell battery charges about .1% every half minute. Is this normal? Total charging time is about 3 hours (with batterybar). Seems incredibly slow.
    3) my laptop has randomly completely frozen about twice in the past week. just during normal usage; is anyone else having problems

Should I contact dell about the uneven base? My warranty expires in 29 days. I'm not comfortable with tech touching my baby; they create more problems than they fix. Is the base replacement an invasive procedure?

Are there problems with the battery too?

I would call them and ask for a replacement ASAP. You have several problems you listed.

this is my 3rd laptop. the one i bought 2 years ago xps m1530 was replaced with another one, and then recently with this one. i contacted dell support and they told me they'd give me a replacement laptop but can no way guarantee me the same model (i could get another xps m1530). would it be better to call them?

I had an un-even base too.l. it fixed itself however after a week or so...

And yes, I have had freezing problems too... This system has bigger issues than those if they are driving you away you might want to think about a refund..

    Good luck.

If you got 130w charger it should be faster. About 1.5 hrs.
