Ssup guys, as the title suggests, anyone have an idea if the gpu on the xps 16 is going to get upgraded sometime in the near future. the 3670 is good but a bit weak for me, i'd love for it to get the just leaked 4770, but who am i kidding right? :p

Not a chance. The only time that they will upgrade a GPU is if they are doing a refresh of the line. Given the fact that they just released the Studio XPS 16, you'll be waiting for a while before Dell refreshes its line. By the time Dell gets around to refreshing the line, you'll say the same thing again.

Yeah the only refresh Dell would be prone to make is once Windows 7 comes along. Concerning hardware, Dell isn't exactly quite fast with upgrades. Their supposed "XPS refresh" took forever to happen after news of the 8600M GT problems.

And besides, the XPS 16 is supposed to be a multimedia laptop, not a gaming laptop so really, for the intents Dell has made the XPS 16, the HD3670 is more than enough.
