I received my system about 2 weeks ago and today I noticed that there is a dark mark on my screen. I am not sure if it has always been there but I just noticed it today. I attached an image of the mark. It is not a spot on the screen itself, in fact it looks like it is actually behind the screen if that makes sense. It appears to be behind text, etc that displays on the screen. I am thinking this is a piece of dirt that got between the back light and the actual display itself. any other thoughts?

Yea it's possible it is dirt, or a clump of dead pixels

its not dead pixels, that was my first thought but text displays fine in that area of the screen. Guess I should contact support.

I too have noticed a similar mark on my XPS 1640 screen, right in the middle which is most annoying.
It's definitely behind the plastic somewhere, possibly inside the screen itself.
Would Dell change the screen for something like this?
