1440x900 LED LCD screen I've heard is best.

If this is your main gaming machine I'd go with the 1440x900 screen. If you can go for the LED backlit one.

It's always best looking to play at your screen's max supported (native) resolution. Running CS:S at 1920x1200 is much more stressful for the GPU then 1440x900 as it has to push many more pixels. With CS:S maxed out I get about 50 to 70 fps at 1920x1200 on mine. So at 1440x900 you can probably expect about 100 fps average. You lose desktop space vs. the 1920x1200, but it may be worth it for you. Personally I went with the 1920x1200 because my XPS M1530 is my secondary gaming machine and I prefer to have more desktop space so I can open up many things side by side.
