The Microsoft store was selling it for $600 after 40% coupon code CLR-MSAFL-40%-PC a few days ago.

It failed? Really? I find that hard to believe. I love mine and I am sure lots of other people prefer smaller 13" laptops.
I got it over a year ago from the dell outlet store with a 15% off coupon and they actually charge MORE now for the same thing, even with a 15% off coupon!

Well, That was my sisters opinion and mine from having to fix hers all the time, or her dealing with dell about it. Anyway I probably should have re-worded that, but I apologize for upsetting you and respect your opinion.

EDIT: I also thought the SXPS 16 is a fail as well from all the issues I had with my 1640 and others have had with their 1645 (1647 seems to be the general exception) They had great designs, and I thought they where stunning. I had a love/hate relationship with my 1640 and my sisters 1340, but some things where great other things where just downright bad.

You did not need to apologize for that description of the XPS 13. It was a failed design much like the Envy 13. It had an incredibly high rate of mfg defects, mother board failures and cooling issues. Just look at the threads from XPS owers. To be sure, some people got units that gave them no problem. That was merely the luck of the draw. It was a good idea to redesign the 13 but what is taking so long. If they take the technology they've put into the M11x, put in a full powered CPU like the I5-540M or the I7-620M, a bright 1600 x 900 display, and a decent GPU/switchable graphics like the M11x's GT335M or better yet, the XPS 16's HD 5730 :D they could not keep them on the shelves. There is an incredible need and pent up demand for a 13" ultralight with power, GPU power and a decent display. Is Dell asleep? No wonder Acer passed them like they were standing still and keeps increasing their market lead. Dell seems to have trouble focusing on all of its market segments at the same time.
