    Hi all, thank for your reading.
    I just bought a new dell xps 1340 with 2.4 GHZ cpu p8600

    but when i checked with cpu-z newest version
    the speed is limited at 1.6 GHz

    I have tried many cpu speed meters else but always under 1600 MHz

    so, what is the real speed of xps 1340 inter core 2 dual P8600

    Have you selected 'high performance' in the power option?

    Start button>control panel>power option>High performance

    :)

    P8600 only runs at 2.4 ghz when there is heavy CPU load, other times Intel speed steps just auto downclocks it.
