ok so my favorite thing about my XPS 17 is the fact that when i go in to turn it on each day, it fake plasticy surface is VERY cold, like metal.

i dont know why but i love feeling the coldness of it.

    whats your favorite thing?

I thought it was actually a very thin sheet of metal on the surface? Has anyone tried putting a magnet on it to test? ...... actually scratch that, unless you want to say bye bye to your data

I don't think plastic gets that cold, and I've never seen that fine brushed finish on plastic. It's almost certainly metal. I think I get the same effect from the keyboard keycaps as well.

actually i like how easy it was to take apart and put back together........other than those stupid hard drive screws lol.....

i was 99% done putting it back together and one slid and went back into the case and i had to do a little dissasembly to find it...funny thing is it was stuck to the speaker....almost couldn't find it :p
