so my m1530 that i ordered just switched to "shipped" status today. i heard on one of these forums (can't find it again) that once they ship it you can see which screen you have by going to the website.

I looked on my order page or whatever and can't find anything on it, anyone know where to check on website or is it not possible to see until it is actually in my hands?

by the way i got the 1680 x 1050 screen if that helps.

    thanks much!

and dont fret if you are getting a samsung screen. i have on and its brilliant, no evidence of any 'grainyness'.. i've got the 1680x1050 too btw

Brands don't decide screen quality. You can't just go "Hmm nice screen" and then when you find out it's a Samsung, you go "OMG GRAINY!" Vice-versa.

Wait for it and see if it works out for you :D

true as that may be, if ive got a seemingly faultless screen that performs at 'paid-for' spec (ie correct res) then what i dont have i wont miss. Maybe the LG would be better, but it also could be a dodgy one.
