    Aye, probably. Or so people don't whine about how much more it would cost between 1 and 2 8800m GTXs

    Could it be the issue of creating unwanted competition with the Alienware M15x?

    Maybe in the near future they might offer the XPS M1530 with a single 8800gtx?

    Maybe they want to have 2 viable options on the graphics card.

    or could be dell people though they added it as an option but every bother checking it sort of like they're quality control.

    2 cards probably justify the size of that beast. I bet they couldn't save enough on the manufacturing process and the size with only a single card.

    You can always call them and ask...but if that is the only option, I'm guessing it wouldn't profit Dell as much to go the other way.
