Hey, I recently received my dell xps m1530 with everything working okay except for the fact that I couldn't connect to my home wireless network, which is not the case with my sisters' dell laptops. My wireless icon kept showing me a "Limited to No Connectivity" message. I was wondering if you guys have any possible solutions to this problem. Thanks.

*When ordering my dell laptop, I mistakenly chose shaw's 3 month high speed internet for internet access, and I'm wondering if that could be the problem.

right click on the network icon, say diagnose and repair...see if that fixes anything...if not tell us what it says...

it says that there is nothing wrong with my wireless connection...

*It's worth noting that im able to connect to an unsecured wireless network but not my secured home wireless network

That means you forgot to enter the network key (the network password).
    • Right-click your network icon.
    • Right-click the network you want to connect to. Click Properties.
    • Select "WEP" under "Encryption Type."
    • Enter Network security key (your network password)
    • Click OK

You're set! If not you might have extra authentication security that I'm not too well-versed in.

try a different encryption method on the router if the above does not work...
