what mouse do you use? what mouse have you used? what works best?

i just ordered my xps 17, YAY!!! now i want a wireless mouse. i really wanted the razer orochi, cause it a smaller version of my mamba which i loved. but i hear horrible reviews about its bluetooth function. so im looking for a great wireless mouse.......as in totally wireless, not wireless with a bunch of cables running to the reciever like the razer mamba has.....

    what do you suggest??

Excellent - squeeker the cat and a mouse roundup :)

I have a Logitech VX Nano. Originally I got it for travel use but i'm liking it at home with my Dell at the moment. Maybe a bit small for some people or tasks, I guess.

    I've used a Logitech V470 Bluetooth mouse.

    Pros:
    -handled every surface I tried
    -looks nice (blue color)

    Cons:
    -not so good responsiveness
-larger than a minimouse, but still a little small (I guess this is more of an opinion though)

Overall the V470 is an amazing improvement over the track pad, but when your not traveling its not not as good as your average cheapo USB wire mouse. The lack of responsiveness of the V470 mouse is noticeable everywhere- Microsoft Office, web browsing, games, etc.

I use a Logitech VX Nano with my 1645 as well. It's just big enough to be comfortable for everyday/everything use. Only downside is that it uses AAA batteries - thankfully our stock room is always open so it's not a problem.

Truth be told, you cannot go wrong with any Logitech mouse, at the very minimum. It may not be as insanely busy like the Razors are (visually speaking), but they at least get the job done. I have an old fashioned ball mouse that I still use for my Optiplex server sitting in the corner of my office. Thing is a million years old and still works like a charm (after you clean out the mouse that is...)

At OP, are you looking for a gaming mouse? Or multi-usage?
Right now the Logitech G700 is $59.99 After Rebate at newegg

    Mine for my 1647:
Dell BT 5 Button Travel mouse...reliable.
    Logitech VX Nano..full of awesome.
Logitech M305...nice mouse for general use
Logitech M555b (Bluetooth) - Long lasting battery, etc.
Microsoft Wireless Mouse 6000 - great

I have been using my VX Nano more than the others as of late. : )

    +1 for the G700

It's what I use for my XPS 15. Even though it does have a lot of buttons You can program them to whatever you want with it. Even though I only use half of them its a nice feature. Super responsive and fast, there are only two drawbacks:

    - Battery life is subpar, I can get about one day without charging it back up with normal use.
    - Right hand only

Good luck on getting a mouse!
