    hi, im sure its the same for all laptops but i will post here to be safe..i recently reinstalled xp having had the blue screen of death..but now my @ sign is activated by pressing shift and 2....which is the wrong place.

    how can i change this

    Change the language your keyboard is in. Control panel -> Regional & Language options -> Language tab -> Details.

    I bet you can figure it out from there.
