Hi there.
I configured a system a month or so ago but now I configure it and even with the 399 and 200 EPP discount, I still end up with a system that is almost 1800 out the door.
I swear I loaded a system with the 8500 processor 3 gigs of ram 8600 and a case and it was like 1500 or so out the door..
I wonder if I re do it with a different configuration option it would be different lol
Anyway idea on how to get the best possible "config" as well as price. I am coming back to Canada in a few weeks so i want to perhaps pre-order this.
Let me know![]()

I have also noticed that the prices offered by Dell Canada are a bit inflated compared to Dell in the United States, even with the value of the Canadian dollar. If you talk to a Dell Canada Sales Representative through Dell's live chat function on their home page they may be able to assist you in getting some sort of a discount.

let me know if this works because Canadian prices piss me off too.

I will try.. lol.. dunno what they will say

i tried over the phone once while i was haggling but there was a bit of a language barrier and he also had some sort of prepared answer that sounded like BS about distribution that i really didn't understand and because of the former i didn't bother to press it. but maybe it might be different online.
the distribution reason seemed stupid as most laptops are assembled and shipped from and to the same places for the North American market.
also, Apple and HP seem to be able to offer their laptops at parity in Canada, why Dell won't is a mystery. well not really (money).
xps 1530 price on dell.ca seems high
