considering the new studios. when will it be that the xps 1530 has a successor considering that there has to be some kind of distinction of xps/studio. studio seems really good and even better than xps in some aspects so anyone know if new 1530 refresh soon?

    Or:
1: it's a too small refresh (like the recent macbook refresh)
2: it will be a very very huge release. :p

I think the main selling point of the XPS line is that it is made of better materials, although the finish of the Studio line is very impressive indeed. The XPS line also has slightly better specifications, I believe.

Dell isn't going to want to drop the current XPS styling, since its so popular. I think they want to boost sales of none XPS notebooks too, and have launched the Studio line for that reason. I'd expect the current styling of the XPS to continue for some time yet.

    Or not.

They can leak information just before school, so hardcore "waiters" will wait. This way, dell wont sell much less "m1550", but the new release wont affect m1530's sell.
