Hi
Does anyone know a way to change the settings for the webcam?
I have the latest drivers for it installed, and it does work, its just that the frame rate oscillates between 4-10 frames per second, which is awfully laggy and makes a video chat near impossible due to the massive amout of stuttering.
So I was wondering does anybody know a fix for it? Is there a setting I can change?
It does seem that the stuttering is due to the computer trying to balance the lighting using an effect, which I imagine is why it's so slow - Is there a way I can turn this effect off?
Or do I have to resign myself to the fact that it's not that good a camera?
Any thoughts please post, plus if anyone has any experience with their 1530's webcam, could you post as to whether its good quality or bad - So I'll know whether they're all like this or whether it's just mine.
Cheers.![]()

I remember seeing a post around here in NBR, from someone on youtube with some tips on increasing frame rate. It has something to do with adjusting some visual settings, as well as tweaking with the light in the room (or wherever the user is located)... Let me see if I can find that post.
For me, the webcam has been good and fine. No lag issues or anything, though I haven't really "tested" it extensively. I am happy with it.
