    Hi,

When I plug in my 1530, the charging indicator lamp lights on for 5 seconds and it turns off suddenly. As I can remember when it turned on before, it was blue but now it's red and I think it's showing that sth is wrong. The battery doesn't charge. My charger is ok. What's wrong with my laptop. Any same exprience? Please help me.

    Thanks in advance

How old is your battery? The 6-cell battery on my m1530 broke after 20 months. For 6 weeks before that I would notice that the battery charge icon on the bottom right corner was saying that the battery wasn't charging. And then I would get the "AC adapter not recognized" message, but since there are plenty AC adapters at work I tried some out, and I still got the damn message.

After replacing the battery everything is OK except for the occasional "AC adapter not recognized" message every now and then.

The battery dying on the m1530 is a common problem I believe.
