I have this problem a bit too since I installed the A11 bios. I also have the irritating problem that when I lean iin the palm rest with my elbow it enables sometimes enables the pinch zoom, even when I have a jumper on. Wether this means that there is sensitivity on the touch pads or not, I don't know but it's very annoying since I don't want to disable the pinch zoom. The problem happens more when my elbow is closer to the touch pad but sometimes it even happens when it's all the way to the edge

I still have the old release of the synaptics touchpad drivers, I tried the new dell update but it said that I would have to uninstall the old drivers. It told me to go to the uninstall programs page but it wasn't there, I went against it's advice and tried to install anyway but when I checked what version it was after it had installed it was still the old version. How do I get rid of the current synaptics drivers so I can install the new version?

Don't download drivers from links posted here or on any forums. Go to the manufacturers website and find the drivers manually. Do some legwork to protect your investment..jeez!

Same issue here after new BIOS. Nothing has changed except the BIOS. The mousepad refuses to respond after standby/hibernate but if i put it to standby just after opening it up the mouse is back...

What are you talking about?? There is nothing wrong with downloading drivers, etc... provided here on the forum!!

If the Drivers that are provided, are directly from the Manuf. ie..Dell ~ that is safe. One should know what is safe, and what isn't. Most NBR forum members are not out to do *malicious damage* to other members.

That is what we are all here on the forum to do, to provide help to other forum members, after all, right?
    *sigh*
