Hi, I'd appreciate a little pc mechanics advice.

I reinstalled windows and all was well. Then for no reason, the computer froze. But it wasn't a normal kind of freezing. The screen went completely black, but the backlight was on.

Then I had to manually power it off and take out the battery. The computer won't turn on ever since. Even with a power adapter.
What's more, the laptop won't even charge anymore.

Does this mean that the motherboard is gone and therefore my laptop as well? Do people replace motherboards by themselves (my warranty is gone)
