    xps 1640 xps 1645 xps 1647 battery types ?

    do they all have the same batter type ? can any battery that works with the 1640 work with the other models ???? will give all my repz

    Pretty sure the 6 and 9 cell batteries work on all 3 of the laptops. The only thing to look out for is that you can't configure a 1645 without the 9-cell which is believed to be due to the extra heat dissipation that the 9-cell battery provides by propping the back of the laptop up. The 6-cell battery will still work with the 1645 but there will be significantly more heat.
