Does anyone here had experience with xps 1710 and overheating and video fan stopped working?

First time i got the fan error Error Code 3700:011B
Msg: Expected Video Fan on high RPM of 3700. Detected fan RPM = 0.

was after 2 years of use, it was replaced onsite (Dell's Next Business Day On-Site)

That lasted 1 year before the machine got too warm and would not start up. So got cpu, gpu, heatsink and same fan replaced again.

This was just within the 4 years onsite service, so quickly replaced.
Shortly after got several emails if i wanted to purchase extension on the onsite service. Consumer law is 5 years, so stupid to pay more than its worth for 1 year extension. Figured it would last after all that stuff replaced.

Now 9-10 months later the machine has same symptoms (video stutter, slow opening programs etc.) Turned it off and dell diagnostics again said
    Error Code 3700:011B
Msg: Expected Video Fan on high RPM of 3700. Detected fan RPM = 0.

Now thinking of demanding a replacement, since both fixes of the problem seems not to last even a year.

Anyone else had this happen to the 1710?
