    hello,

i'm having a weird error prohibiting me from installing windows 7 professional onto my new kingston ssd.

After putting in the dvd and booting from it, I select english as a language, and then the installer tells me that it can't find the CD/DVD driver necessary to continue. It says I can remove my install dvd to put in the disc with the driver, but obviously I can't figure out what it would need since it obviously has already read the dvd fine (since I'm this far in the installer).

just to make sure I wasn't going crazy, I put in the original vista disc and was able to install vista fine to the ssd, so I know the SSD and DVD drives themselves are fine, but an upgrade is out of the question since vista was 32bit and my windows 7 install is 64bit.

what's going on? how can I get this 'dvd driver' ??

    thanks..

I am guessing if your DVD drive has any problems...mine couldn't burn DVDs when I got it replaced.
