    xps m1330 USB problems

    just did a fresh installation of Windows XP and all the drivers, but under the device manager, the ICH8 USB controller is not recognized, so I can't use any USB device attached to the computer, How should I fix this? thanks

    Does Windows Update include drivers for it?
    Every time I've installed XP on my M1330 (which to be fair is only twice) the ports have been recognised without having to do anything.

    problem fixed by uninstalling the drivers from the device manager then restarting computers. all controllers found and recognized this time
