    Hi guys,
I have just received my M1330. It has the regular LCD screen (not the LED back-lit one).

It troubles me that whenever I pull out the AC adapter, the screen's brightness is drastically reduced, even when I tried changing battery savins mode. the screen is still considerably dimmer even after I have manually increased the brightness using the Fn key.

Any help would be appreciated =)

    Thanks in advance!

This is a setting in your BIOS. Hit F2 on boot and look through the menus.

Could be in Vista as well. The power management thing. It may tell the screen to adjust the brightness when running on battery versus AC power.

Look for something like "battery saver" and "high performance" in the windows center - Windows key + X shortcut

On mine, both had to be changed.

To change the BIOS setting you would have to do that by entering the BIOS screen before you boot into the OS.

In the BIOS go down to Video and set the Brightness to Full and the Brightness (AC) to full.

Then use the power management settings in Vista to control the brightness when on battery.
