    i want to buy the xps m1330, but it's already a year old. is dell planning on upgrading the m1330 with the new platform?

    I haven't heard any news about it yet. It makes sense that they would update it soon after 15th of july, when Intel launches Montevina. But this is speculation.

    Dell is usually quick to adopt a new platform.

    If you can wait for only month, month and a half, then it would be in your best interest to do so since you will be able to purchase the newest tech available.
